Subway Stations

I just wanted to comment on how much I love the subway stations here, some of them are so vibrant and interesting. They are all really unique and each station is different. Some have mythical themes, some pictures, some futuristic, and some have amazing tiles.

Hamburg!!!

The second weekend in December I headed with the family to Hamburg, to visit the boys' Grandparents (Julia's Parents). Again, not going to go into too much detail, it was 48 hours after all. It was a really great trip, I got to see another part of the country and experience the feeling of the different city. I really liked Hamburg, it is a canal town, and is entirely built on a canal system (think Venice) - really adorable. Chris and Julia took me into Hamburg for the day while the boys stayed at home and spent time with their Grandparents.

This is a photo of the West/East Germany border, where the border crossing used to be.

Amazing traditional German dinner.

View from my bed, really enjoyed waking up in this room.

View from the window, gorgeous garden space.

Amazing waffle.

The town square, on the water right behind me is  where the christmas market is.

Small market in the village, really farm like and charming.

Traditional roofing style.

Fire bread..hardest thing I've ever done.

Finished product I never thought would happen.

It's all still so green...in December!

New Car

This is the car I will be driving while in Berlin!! It is adorable and a great size for navigating the narrow streets. It hates me still because I have not gotten used to standard again yet, but it's getting there.

Thessaloniki

I went to Greece the first weekend in December...I'm not going to say much about it but here are the photo's that sum it up. I met some really cool new people, saw some awesome ruins, ate some crepes, it rained a lot, it was sunny for half of one say so I got some nice pictures, there are a million street cats - and not a single one let me pet it - probably for the best, I went to a few museums about greek history (Thessaloniki history to be specific), and all in all saw a cool new part of the world.
