Hamburg!!!

The second weekend in December I headed with the family to Hamburg, to visit the boys' Grandparents (Julia's Parents). Again, not going to go into too much detail, it was 48 hours after all. It was a really great trip, I got to see another part of the country and experience the feeling of the different city. I really liked Hamburg, it is a canal town, and is entirely built on a canal system (think Venice) - really adorable. Chris and Julia took me into Hamburg for the day while the boys stayed at home and spent time with their Grandparents.

This is a photo of the West/East Germany border, where the border crossing used to be.

Amazing traditional German dinner.

View from my bed, really enjoyed waking up in this room.

View from the window, gorgeous garden space.

Amazing waffle.

The town square, on the water right behind me is  where the christmas market is.

Small market in the village, really farm like and charming.

Traditional roofing style.

Fire bread..hardest thing I've ever done.

Finished product I never thought would happen.

It's all still so green...in December!
